NOW IS THE APPOINTED TIME
Beloved, known unto God are his works from the foundation of the world.  “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the Prophets. (Amos 3:7).  “And then the Lord replied:’ Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay’”.(Hab. 2:2-3)

Evidently, what we are embarking upon as a Body is truly a vision that has been in the heart of God, which work He had completed from the foundation of the world.   In this vision is a mandate clearly spelt, a direction clearly marked out  and a destiny to be realised.

The destiny includes all who will embrace the call.  We all have a part to play singularly and collectively.  In this mandate is the networking of commissions in  unity of purpose to muster the people of God for the final onslaught to rescue the perishing, to care for the dying, to snatch them in pity from sin and the grave, to weep over the erring ones, to lift up the fallen and  to tell them of Jesus the Mighty to Save, that His kingdom will come and His will be done..
The Lord is at the head of us to break open the way! His banner over us is Love.

The Vision Shared

- Pastor Sunday Okenwa

The Vision was birthed when, in June 2009, 3 Pastors (Regional Overseers in DLBC) with a burden for a revival met to consult and commit to holding a “Crusade” in London.  The objectives were to be:

To foster Unity among Churches (as other churches were going to be invited to participate in the clarion call to save the lost in London;

To strengthen the body of believers; and lastly

To church the “un-churched” (which is the case with a vast majority of the population of London).

Habakkuk 2:2 says “And the Lord answered me, and said, “Write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readeth it.” [KJV]

This vision was shared and discussed with Pastor Kumuyi, who gave his nod of approval to go ahead in early July 2009.  No time was wasted in throwing open the doors of invitation to others, who may catch the vision and be willing to collaborate in the project.   Hugh Osgood, pioneering the ‘Churches in Communities’, on hearing about the vision exclaimed “This is of God!”, and immediately agreed to participate.  This quickly led to a breakfast meeting, mid-July, with some 17 key church leaders and organisations, who all pledged their firm support.

Among the first callers in terms of firm support was Premier Radio’who, in August – through Peter Kerridge, also agreed that the vision was of God –    arranged a meeting for going forward, (which meetings were thenceforth to be held at the premises of ‘Premier Radio’).  The meeting culminated in him mobilising his staff to create a logo (which he said would be put under the ‘Love London’ programme currently being run by ‘Premier Radio’.  From then on, there was no stopping as the project gathered momentum; even faster than originally thought, as ‘Premier Radio’ literally took over.

Following on this, the vision was shared with Apostle Alfred Williams, General Overseer of Christ Faith Tabernacle & President of ‘Prophetic Voice Ministers’.  This was another level, as the Apostle shared how God had already instructed him, as far back as 1998, to work with Pastor Kumuyi.  He confessed that he did not know how God was going to bring it to pass, until now.  Apostle Alfred Williams’ PropheticVoice Minister, Evangelical Alliance, Pastor Jonathan Oloyede’s Global Day of Prayer are now all on board.

There have been many testimonies too numerous to count, but a major one is this:  hitherto, we were at a loss how to go about bringing people in to participate, today, the story is people are calling asking to be part of the event!   The news is spreading so fast and even the Bishop of London is aware of the event!!   We must not forget to mention that while the initial vision was to accommodate 1,000 people at Friends House, but  we now have additional Satellite locations and expect thousands of people.   Praise the Lord.
