NOW IS THE APPOINTED TIME
Beloved, known unto God are his works from the foundation of the world. “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the Prophets. (Amos 3:7). “And then the Lord replied:’ Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay’”.(Hab. 2:2-3)
Evidently, what we are embarking upon as a Body is truly a vision that has been in the heart of God, which work He had completed from the foundation of the world. In this vision is a mandate clearly spelt, a direction clearly marked out and a destiny to be realised.
The destiny includes all who will embrace the call. We all have a part to play singularly and collectively. In this mandate is the networking of commissions in unity of purpose to muster the people of God for the final onslaught to rescue the perishing, to care for the dying, to snatch them in pity from sin and the grave, to weep over the erring ones, to lift up the fallen and to tell them of Jesus the Mighty to Save, that His kingdom will come and His will be done..
The Lord is at the head of us to break open the way! His banner over us is Love.

THE NEED OF THE HOURi

(Excerpt from an exhortation by Pastor William F Kumuyi at the London Fresh Focus Leaders' Lunch on Tuesday 15th September 2009)
Ezekiel 22:30
"And I sought for a man among them that |

should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." (KJV)
This is the need this hour - a man with a divine mandate.
A mandate is a charge, a commission, or an order from God which a man receives and thereafter commits himself to its fulfillment. There were men in Bible times who received divine mandate from the Lord. Some of these men spell out the word M - A - N - D - A -T - E! M for Moses, A for Abraham, N for Nehemiah, D for David; A for Aaron; T for Timothy and E for Ezekiel. These men, among others, received mandate from the Lord.
The mandate of -
Moses was to bring God's people out of slavery (in every sense of the word) to freedom in the promised land. Every other thing he did was good, but not the ultimate in fulfilling the divine mandate.
Abraham was to teach his household, and give implicit obedience to the Lord so that God will fulfill his promise to him.
Nehemiah was to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem.
David was to re-establish the Kingdom of God amongst God's chosen people.
Aaron was to be the mouthpiece of Moses, God's chosen servant. His mandate was not to have an independent ministry of his own, but to communicate God's revelation to Moses on to the people.
Timothy was charged with the responsibility of pastoring the church at Ephesus, and he did it as a son in the faith to Paul the Apostle.
Ezekiel was set up as a watchman over the house of Israel.
As we wait on the Lord, we receive definite mandate, and then concentrate all our resources, gifts and talent to the fulfillment of that mandate.
